Green Mahjong Dragons-

Noreen a few years ago was introduced to Mahjong from friends. The introduction to the game involved lessons from one of her Mom’s friends. After this lesson, Noreen was instantly hooked on playing Mahjong and wanted to make sure all her friends knew how to play. After weeks of casual games amongst friends Noreen rallied a few fellow Mahjong friends and they decided to host a tournament. The tournament was a huge success! Many of the attendees immediately asked, “when would the next event be?”. Noreen wasn’t sure exactly how she wanted this whole Mahjong thing to evolve but she knew she wanted to be behind it.

Noreen knew that Thu was a skilled Mahjong player and also knew she was also teaching many friends in Southlake how to play. Noreen reached out to Thu and pitched the idea to work together to teach American Mahjong. Noreen then rounded out the Green Mahjong Dragons by calling Lauren Nelson to help her with branding, social media, marketing and a website.

The bond between the three ladies is impervious and they’re shared dedication to the tradition of the game is unbreakable.
